Officers and enlisted personnel of Davao City-based Eastern
Mindanao Command (EMC) formally welcomed their newly-designated deputy
commander, Brig. Gen. Ronnie S. Evangelista on Tuesday.
EMC head Major Gen. Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero spearheaded the
welcoming ceremonies for Evangelista.
The activity took place at EMC headquarters in Panacan, Davao City .
Evangelista was accorded with traditional arrival honor
followed by information briefing about the peace and security situation in Eastern Mindanao .
After the briefing, the new EMC deputy commander emphasized
that he will support all the plans and programs of the Command.
“I am here to help. Let us all work together to achieve a
common goal, that is to win the peace in this part of the country,"
Evangelista added.
The latter is a member of Philippine Military Academy Class
of 1986.
Among the positions he held were: Commanding Officer of
Light Reaction Battalion (LRB), Special Operations Command (SOCOM), Philippine
Army; Commandant of Special Forces School, Special Forces Regiment Airborne
(SFRA), SOCOM; Assistant Chief of Staff for Comptrollership, NCRCOM, AFP;
Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, G3 SOCOM; and Commander SFRA, SOCOM.
