Geographical Unit (CAFGU) died when ambushed by a New People's Army (NPA)
Sparrow Unit while on his way home in Sitio Banao, Barangay Salvacion, Bacon
District, Sorsogon
City
A police report identified the victim as Salvador Dugayo,
51, married and assigned at the Energy Development Corp. complex in Barangay
Rizal West District, Sorsogon City Detachment.
The report said Dugayo was on his way home after his tour of
duty in their camp at about 3 p.m. when the suspects appeared and shot him on
his head and body with a .45-caliber pistol. The suspects immediately fled
after the execution on board a motorcycle toward the direction of the
district's pier site.
