Operatives of Joint Task Group Sulu arrested an Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) member during operations in Jolo on Friday afternoon.

The operations took place at 2:40 p.m. at the vicinity of Jolo Pier.

Jailani was arrested by intelligence operatives and patrol units of the 2nd Marine Brigade, 35th Infantry Battalion, PNP Special Action Force, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and NICA 9.

Jailani has a pending warrant of arrest with Regional Trial Court, 7th Judicial Region, Branch 9, Cebu City.
