August 12, 2015
Three Sub-regional Commands of the New People’s Army in North Central Mindanao Region boldly faced the vigorous combat operations of the 4th Infantry Division in the adjoining provinces of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental and Agusandel Norte. Eleven were killed and many got wounded from among the reactionary troops after seven clashes ensued in the first week of August 2015.
August 6, 2015, around 8:00 morning, and 1:30 and 1:40 afternoon – a team of NPA under South Central Bukidnon (NPA-SCB) Sub-regional Command harassed troops from the 8th Infantry Battalion and Division Reconnaissance Company in combat operation in Brgy. Indalasa, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Three enemy were killed and five were wounded in the scene such that due to their defeat, they discriminately cannon-fired the area.
August 8, 2015, around 10:00 morning – a harassment team of NPA under Eastern Misamis Oriental-Northeastern Bukidnon (NPA-EMONEB) Sub-regional Command exchanged fire with troops of the 1st Special Forces Company and CAFGU in Brgy. Farmbugas, Claveria, Misamis Oriental. A CAFGU member was killed while one regular troop was wounded.
Agosto 8, 2015 – two harassment operations were again launched by NPA-SCB against 8th IB and DRC in Brgy. Indalasa, Malaybalay City. At noon, during the first, Red fighters sniped and killed three and wounded some enemy troops. In the afternoon, enemy troops were again harassed wherein another two got killed from these reactionary forces. Throughout the day, the enemy fired their cannons and used their helicopter to recover their casualties.
Agosto 8, 2015 sahapon – an NPA under Western Agusan Norte-Agusan Sur (NPA-WANAS) Sub-regional Command harassed troops of the 29th IB in combat operation in Sitio Afga, Brgy. Olave, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte. Two enemy troops were killed and undetermined troops got wounded.
August 9 – A clash between an NPA unit and operating troops of the 8IB happened in Sitio Bendum, Busdi, Malaybalay City. No reported casualties.
August 10 – A harassment operation was conducted by a unit of NPA in Sitio Magawa, Bolunay, Impasug-ong at around 2:30 in the morning. No detail about casualties were reported yet.
It is a fact that the enemy, the 4th ID, is superior in number and in strength compared to the outnumbered and weak guerrilla units of the NPA in the region. But their intensified militarization in the countryside defines the more deepening crisis of the semicolonial and semi-feudal system in our country who they swear to serve. Their comical beating of deadline to the foiled Oplan Bayanihan was the result of the gross anxiety of their masters — the foreign monopoly capitalists and the local big bourgeoisie compradors and landlords, over the continuous advance of the national revolutionary movement.
They get ghastly threats from their oppressing and exploiting the working people. With the people united under the revolutionary banner, the enemy will surely taste defeat from the battles up to the point of annihilation so the people could then achieve genuine freedom from oppression and exploitation.
