Press Statement
August 12, 2015
Throughout June and July, 2015, the New People’s Army in North Central Mindanao Region successfully launched through its various guerilla units 21 military actions against reactionary troops and policemen. With these actions, the NPA seized 16 assorted firearms. The enemy troops suffered 20 fatalities and more than 12 were wounded. Meanwhile, the whole revolutionary forces in the region render their salute to the two comrades who heroically gave their lives in these battles.
June 5, 2015 at around 8:00 in the morning – an NPA team under Western Agusan Norte-Agusan Sur (NPA-WANAS) Sub-regional Command ambushed Allan “Alay” Dalayan in Brgy. Bit-os, Butuan City. He was a notorious surenderree-turned-regular troop of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and was assigned as an operative of Military Intelligence Company (MICO).
June 6, 2015 nighttime – an NPA team under Eastern Misamis Oriental-Northeastern Bukidnon (NPA-EMONEB) Sub-regional Command thrice harassed troops of the 58th Infantry Battalion, Division Reconnaissance Company and Scout Rangers Company operating in Sitio Camansi, Brgy. Banglay, Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental. No enemy casualties were reported.
June 7, 2015 – two incidents of encounter occurred again in Sitio Camansi, Brgy. Banglay, Lagonglong between a team of NPA-EMONEB and the troops from 58th IB, DRC and SRC. No confirmed enemy casualties were reported.
June 7, 2015 – a unit of Red fighters under Mt. Kitanglad Sub-regional Command ambushed the armed, active military asset in Purok 7, Brgy. Imbayao, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Aside being an asset, the locals also reported him being a landgrabber, swindler and extortionist. A .45 caliber pistol was seized from his position during the said ambush.
June 8, 2015, around 12:00 noon – a team under NPA-EMONEB harassed the operating troops of the 58th IB, DRC and SRC in Sitio Camansi, Brgy. Banglay. An enemy fighter was killed and one was wounded.
June 9, 2015, around 3:00 in the afternoon – a member of the Police Provincial Public Safety Battalion was killed after a team under NPA-WANAS harassed them in Brgy. Bitan-agan, Butuan City.
June 9, 2015, 7:00 in the evening – three troopers of elite force, the Special Action Force of the police (PNP-SAF) were killed after three incidents of harassment by a squad under NPA-WANAS. This happened in Brgy. Olave, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.
June 14, 2015, around 3:30 afternoon – a unit of NPA under South Central Bukidnon (NPA-SCB) Sub-regional Command successfully raided troops of the 69th IB who stayed in Sitio Hall in Mahayag, Brgy. Namnam, San Fernando, Bukidnon. Two reactionary soldiers were killed and one was wounded while the NPA seized 13 of their firearms (a K3 light machine gun, an M203 grenade launcher, three M-16 rifles, five M-14 rifles and 3 handguns) together with other military hardwares. A Red fighter was martyred on the said tactical offensive.
June 26, 2015 –a unit under NPA-EMONEB harassed troops of the 58th IB who installed their command post after conducting COPD operations in Brgy. Bulahan, Claveria, Misamis Oriental. An enemy fighter was killed in this incident.
June 27, 2015 morning – A troop from Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB)-PNP suffered one fatality after the team under NPA-WANAS conducted harassment operation in Sitio Lamusig, Brgy. San Mateo, Butuan City.
June 27, 2015 evening – a unit under NPA-WANAS harassed operating troops of the RPSB in Sitio Caimito, Brgy. Tungao, Butuan City. Two policemen were killed and some were claimed as wounded. Due to their rage, the policemen killed a civilian charcoal maker near the incident.
June 30, 2015 – a unit under the NPA-WANAS harassed a CAA Detachment in Brgy. Sangay, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte. Two were killed and three were wounded among the troops of the PNP-Regional Mobile Group who were taking a rest in their camp after an operation.
July 11, 2015, around 5:30 afternoon – a platoon under NPA-EMONEB raided the troops of the 58th IB who conducted COPD operations in the barrio center of Brgy. Alagatan, Gingoog City. Within 20 minutes of firefight, one enemy trooper was killed while seven got wounded. Pfc. Adonis Jess Lupiba was captured and is now in NPA custody as a Prisoner of War. Seized from 58th IB were a K3 light machinegun, an M203 grenade launcher and other military equipment.
July 19, 2015 evening – a team of Red fighters under NPA-EMONEB harassed the CAA Detachment of the 58th IB in Sitio Palo, Brgy. Hindangon, Gingoog City. Three members of the CAFGU were killed.
July 22, 2015 – Operating troops of the 1st Special Forces Battalion suffered undetermined casualties after being harassed by a unit under NPA-Mt. Kitanglad in Brgy. Lilingayon, Valencia City, Bukidnon.
July 25, 2015, around 3:20 afternoon – a team under NPA-WANAS ambushed SPO1 Michael Ebanoso in Brgy. Bit-os, Butuan City. He was a member of PNP-RPSB.
As Benigno Aquino‘s time draws near the end for sitting as puppet president of a nation ruled by US imperialists and the local exploiting classes, the future looks brighter for the peoples’ democratic revolution whose advance is accelerated due to the present worsening crisis. Aquino will surely earn with his descent up to his grave his failing grade particularly on his dream of crushing the CPP-NPA-NDF through his foiled OplanBayanihan. This was manifested by the victorious military actions in the region ug nationwide.
