Troopers of the 6th Infantry Division are now pursuing an
undetermined number of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) who strafed
the headquarters of the 1st Mechanized Brigade in Barangay Kabingi, Datu Saudi
Ampatuan town, Maguindanao Wednesday night.
The incident took place at 10 p.m., 6th Infantry Division
spokesperson Capt. Jo-ann Petinglay said Thursday.
The shooting lasted for 10 minutes. No one was reported hurt
nor killed among the government troopers.
She added that the armored vehicles parked near the
headquarters did not incur any damage.
Return fire from members of the 1st Mechanized Brigade may
have wounded an undetermined number of the BIFF, Petinglay stressed.
