President Benigno S Aquino III has approved the promotion of
seven more police generals assigned to key positions in the PNP Directorial
Staff, Units and Office, PNP spokesperson Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo Jr., said
on Tuesday.
According to Cebo, the PNP Officer-in-Charge, Deputy
Director General Leonardo A. Espina, formalized the promotion of five star-rank
police officials during simple ceremonies at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame
He said the promotions were approved upon the recommendation
of DILG Secretary and National Police Commission Chairman Mar Roxas and PNP
OIC, Deputy Director General Espina.
Promoted to the rank of Police Chief Superintendents
(Brigadier General) were Pablo Francisco E. Balagtas, Acting Director of
Aviation Security Group;Rolando Z. Nana , Acting Director of Manila Police
District, NCRPO; Ricardo D. Zapata Jr., Ex-O of the Directorate for Logistics;
Edgardo Tinio , Ex-O of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations –
South Luzon; andPierre R. Bucsit - Ex-O of Directorate for Integrated Police
Operations – West Mindanao.
