From the Philippine Information Agency (Dec 11): 3ID, PA fosters closer ties with media

The 3rd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army based at Camp Peralta, Jamindan, Capiz brought its officers and men closer to the members of the Iloilo media during a fellowship event held December 10 here.

3ID Commander Major General Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero led key officers and men of the said Army unit for the event that was intended “to further enhance the unity and camaraderie among  beat reporters assigned in the military and to foster harmonious working relationship between the media and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

MGen. Guerrero enthused that he was looking forward to a “productive and healthy working relationship” with the media community especially in line with the thrust of the government towards peace and security that is supportive of development.

Nony Basco of ABS-CBN introduced and spoke in behalf of the members of the local media community.

The event was organized by the 3ID, PA through the 3rd Division Public Affairs Office headed by Major Ray C. Tiongson.

As part of the event, the 3ID, PA launched the 3ID Website at spearheadtroppers.com, which provides “real-time” information about the Division and its programs and activities.
