From the Philippine News Agency (Nov 16): Explosion rocks Tacurong City, bomber nabbed

An explosion took place near the ticketing area located along the national highway in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, around 730 a.m. on Friday, a police official said. No one was hurt in the blast. Supt. Gilbert Tuzon, chief of Tacurong City PNP, said during the pursuit operations they arrested a suspected bomber identified as Abdul Usman, also known as "Obing", 37, of Barangay Kudal in Pagalungan, Maguindanao. Tuzon said the suspect, during the investigation, admitted his connection with the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM) under a certain Commander Gani. BIFF is a breakaway group of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front(MILF). The suspect also identified a certain Dots Andot as the mastermind. Tuzon, however, has yet to know the motive behind the blast. Tuzon said they recovered another improvised explosive device (IED)in another location along the highway. The IED failed to explode.
