From InterAksyon (Oct 14): No war from MNLF over govt pact with MILF - Nur
Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Chairman Nur Misuari has given his assurance that his forces will not go to war with the signing of the peace deal between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan said. Tan, coming off from a meeting with Misuari Saturday, has reciprocated and conveyed President Benigno Aquino III's message that his administration is determined "not to ram the new deal down the throat of the Mindanao people, with the final agreement being submitted to the people for ratification." Tan also reiterated his appeal to Misuari to let the peace process take its course and “we must support all peace efforts as the only way to finally bring stability and progress in Mindanao...."
