The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) said the first “Hijab Run: Religious
Understanding Now” was a success as hundreds of women, both Muslim and
non-Muslim, participated in the activity held Sunday morning in Quezon City.... Organized and facilitated by the Young Moro Professionals Network (YMPN) and
supported by the AFP and various government agencies and civic organizations,
the event was also in support of the signing of the framework peace agreement
between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in
Malacanang on Monday....
