From the Manila Bulletin (Feb 4, 2024): 4 communist rebels surrender in Isabela (By LIEZLE BASA IÑIGO)
SAN MARIANO, Isabela – A member of the Militia ng Bayan and three New People’s Army rebels surrendered to the police here recently.Police identified the surrenderers as Pogi, 39; Rose, 45; Chris, 48, and Zette, 45, all residents of this town.
Their surrender was facilitated by the 1st Isabela Provincial Mobile Force Company, Provincial Intelligence Unit, San Mariano police, Criminal Investigation Detection Group-Isabela, and the Philippine Army.
Police encouraged communist rebels to surrender and live a normal life with their family.
Lawmen have asked rebel returnees to help the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict convince their comrades to return to the fold of the law.
