DISGRUNTLED with the communist movement, a 36-year-old New People’s Army (NPA) rebel has surrendered to the government in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, a military official reported Monday. Captain Albert Caber, Army 1st Infantry Division spokesman, said Lito Sumasal Bawan alias “Ka Robin” surrendered around 8:30 a.m. of Sunday to the detachment of the 5th Infantry Battalion’s Bravo Company in the village of Lourdes, Pagadian City....
