From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 8): Leonen: No foreign gov't pressure in
drafting the Framework Agreement with MILF
Dean Marvic Leonen, chairman of the government peace negotiators, stressed
Monday no foreign government influenced nor pressured Manila in the drafting of
the Framework Agreement with the secessionist Muslim rebels.
Leonen is the chairman of the Philippine government peace negotiating panel
with the Moro islamic Liberation Front.
"Categorically, no foreign government pressured our government or perhaps the
MILF to agree to certain kinds of concessions in this document (Framework
Agreement)," Leonen told a press briefing in Malacanang....
