It said it is ironic that while the government is signing peace with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), it continues to suppress the Moro people through anti-terror laws and curtail their civil and political rights. This was the contention of the Suara Bangsamoro, a militant Moro organization based in Zamboanga City. Suara further stated it questions the sincerity of the Aquino government on the issue of creating the new agreement as tool to divide the Moro people. Besides, “this is the same autonomous entity promised to MNLF (Moro National Liberation Front) in the 1996 final peace agreement and to PNoy’s Moro party mates in the Liberal Party,” Suara added....

  1. It would appear that the CPP and its associated front organizations have opted for skepticism while most others have applauded the agreement. Suara Bangsamoro is a CPP-linked party-list political party and sectoral front active in the "Moro sector." These folks recognize that a GRP-MILF peace agreement will allow the Philippine military to redirect a significant portion of the combat power that has been tied down countering the MILF in Mindanao toward operations against the New People's Army, the armed wing of the CPP. It is in the interest of the CPP to keep the MILF in the field, operating against the AFP. CPP fronts will continue to find the "dark cloud in the silver lining" of the GRP-MILF framework agreement.
