From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 8): MILF wants final peace pact 'within
Aquino administration'
The secessionist Moro Islamic Liberation Front wants the final peace agreement
with the Philippine government be done within the administration of President
Benigno Aquino III.
This was stated by Dean Marvic Leonen, head of the GOP negotiating panel, in
a press briefing in Malacanang late Monday afternoon.
"The Philippine government and the MILF agreed on the final text of what we
call a 'Framework Agreement'. It is the mother agreement that is a roadmap which
contains a set of principles and values that would guide the process for the
final political settlement with the MILF," he said....
