Posted to Kalinaw News (Oct 24, 2021): More Than Nine Hundred (900) Individuals Receive Medical and Other Services From Army Special Forces and Philippine Council of the Assemblies of God
Tabuan-Lasa, Basilan – The Philippine Council of the Assemblies of God (PCAG) sent a team led by Reverend Samuel Bontilao together with the Army Special Forces which delivered the much needed medical services to the far-flung and island communities in the province from October 19 to 22, 2021.
More than nine hundred (900) individuals benefitted from the four-day medical mission in the Barangays of Bukut-Umos, Babag, Lanawan, and Muslim Area consisted of medical and optal services with distribution of free medicines, eyeglasses, and food packs which greatly helps improve the health conditions of the children, women, and more especially the elders. In addtion, the medics of the Special Forces also offered free circumcision and haircut services.
The people and their local leaders of the four barangays expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the members of the PCAG, the 14th Special Forces Company, and LGUs for their selfless service and dedication.
The local government unit of Tabuan-Lasa and Maluso were present to support the activities in their municipality. Dr. Jesus Rainier Mon, MD. of Basilan General Hospital, Dr. Catherine Joan Bulawe, MD. of HMA RHU, also extend their services to the people of Basilan.
