Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City – October 20, 2021
The Commander of the Littoral Combat Force paid a courtesy call on Commander, Western Mindanao Command on October 19, 2021. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen coordination between the two military units geared towards accomplishing their mandated tasks that are vital in the mission accomplishment of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The Littoral Combat Force is the Philippine Navy unit responsible for the overall coastal defense, littoral patrol, and interdiction mission.
During his arrival, Commodore Roy Vincent Trinidad was welcomed with Foyer Honors led by Brigadier General Antonio Nafarrete, Deputy Commander for Administration of the Western Mindanao Command. He was then received by WestMinCom Chief, Major General Alfredo Rosario, Jr. and the Command Staff at the Laong Laan Hall of the command.
MGen. Rosario, Jr. and Commodore Trinidad both expressed their gratitude and pledged to support each other in their respective endeavors. The two agreed to continue to work together to address the threats that hamper peace and progress in Western Mindanao.
Commodore Trinidad is a proud member of the Philippine Military Academy “Sambisig” Class of 1991. As a testimony to his competence and prolific military career, he has been a recipient of numerous military awards and commendations.
The command strictly adhered to the minimum health protocols during the visit of Commodore Trinidad.
