BALER, Aurora-The Philippine Army’s 91st infantry “Sinagtala” Battalion on Saturday provided man power and security assistance to the team of University of the Philippines (UP) vanguards reservist and the 301st Community Deffence Center (CDC), 1st Nueva Ecija Ready Reserve Infantry Batallion (RRIBn) in two separate occasions.
LTC REANDREW P RUBIO (GSC) PA, commanding officer of 91st IB said that 1LT BOBBY A FERRER (INF) PA, Bravo Company Commander of 91st IB provided manpower and security assistance in the recent relief operation together with UP Vanguards led by CPT ARMANDO P ALAMBRA (RES) PA and Barangay Officials at Barangay Sapang Kawayan, Dipaculao, Aurora.
The activity was also led by Sapang Kawayan Barangay Chairman Albert G. Anselmo and Barangay Dimabuno Chairman Randy A. Paborian, all of Dipaculao, Aurora with a total of four hundred (400) beneficiaries benefited.
The relief goods, which include clothes, rice, noodles, can goods and face mask were donated by the UP Vanguard (ROTC Unit) in UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The relief goods were given to 600 beneficiaries in the said place.
Relatedly, One (1) Squad led by 1LT JUN NIÑO O ESPORA (INF) PA, Commanding officer of Alpha company 91IB,7ID,PA and 2LT RODEL T CALVADORES (INF) PA, Provided Security/Manpower Assistance to 301st Community Defense Center (CDC), 1st Nueva Ecija Ready Reserve Infantry Batallion (RRIBn) led by Commanding Officer MAJ ELLEN CRUZ (Reserve) PA, and LTC MARIA SALVACION M COLLADO (Reserve) PA, S1, 3rd RCDG, from Camp Tinio, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, in the distribution of 200 food packs to the victims of Typhoon Ulysses in Barangay Paltic, Dingalan, Aurora together with LGU Dingalan headed by Ms. Jessebel Aglubo of Municipal Treasurer office.
“We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to UP VANGUARD and 301CDC, 3RCDG, ARESCOM for the relief mission extended in Dipaculao and Dingalan of Aurora with a total of six hundred (600) families as beneficiaries. They really appreciate the effort of the sponsors who shared their time and resources to make the people feel the spirit of Bayanihan especially this yuletide season,” LTC RUBIO said.
He added that the 91st IB remains committed in the conduct of relief operations to alleviate the loneliness and distress of the people who are still experiencing hardship caused by the recent calamities.
“The 91st IB will continue to assist them and the local government units in providing manpower, mobility and equipment to help affected communities in this province,” LTC RUBIO said.
