MATATAL, MAIMBUNG, Sulu – In collaboration and cooperation with the Local Government Unit of Maimbung, five local terrorists surrendered to the 41st Infantry “Partner for Peace” Battalion under Lieutenant Colonel James Erasmus F Gagni early morning today, December 10, 2020.

The surrendered personalities were identified as Aljinar S Hasim, 20, resident of Barangay Mabahay, Talipao; Muarip Adjah “Arip”, 55, resident of Barangay Laum, Maimbung; Banjimar Kakim Siring “Titi”, 29, resident of Barangay Bulabog, Maimbung; Alal Jul Isman Jupakkal, 57, resident of Barangay Kappok Punggol, Maimbung; and Nadzrin Asaddi Ellami, 20, resident of Barangay Timmudas, Pata all of Sulu.

“The five voluntarily surrendered themselves to the 41st Infantry Battalion in Barangay Matatal, Maimbung, Sulu as a result of the CSP-PCVE Grand Pulong-pulong and Covenant Signing conducted at Barangay Tabu-bato and Barangay Upper Tambaking all of Maimbung, Sulu. One of the surrenderee is identified as a son of ASG Sub-leader Majar Sahidjuan “Apoh Mike,” said Lt. Col. Gagni.

The surrenderees handed over one (1) M14 US rifle, one (1) M79, one (1) Caliber .45 UZI, and one .45 pistol.

The 41st Infantry “Partner for Peace” troopers will continue to pursue the remaining terrorists to return in the folds of the law as we sustain the harmonious relationship and gain support from our partners, stakeholders, and the local government of Maimbung, Sulu.
