BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Oct. 14 (PIA) - The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) will soon distribute land titles and livelihood assistance to former rebels here as part of the End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) Convergence Program.Agrarian Reform Provincial Officer Gerald 'Dindi' Tan (center) join in the pre-groundwork activity for the commencement of survey of the "New Lands" target under our Land Tenure Security (LTS) Division in Vizcaya.
Agrarian Reform Provincial Officer Gerald 'Dindi' Tan said at least 40 former rebels will be benefited with the proposed Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) with livelihood assistance.
"DAR is an active partner in ensuring that our rebel returnees have a sustainable livelihood to start their lives for their families," she said.
Tan said they have recently conducted interviews with the target beneficiaries in Bagabag town to facilitate the processing of their qualifications and other requirements.
The proposed distribution of CLOAs and livelihood assistance to the former rebels will also be assisted by the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army (PA) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
"The DILG will review the proposed list of the proposed CLOA and livelihood assistance beneficiaries which will be submitted to us for our final approval," Tan said.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
