CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Oct. 20 (PIA) - - Three learners here who are enrolled in the blended learning modality are lucky recipients of Android phones through the “Edukasyon Mo, Supportado Ako” project of the 1503rd Mobile Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15.

They are Abdul Bashet, a 10 year old Muslim learner from Nasgueban and studying at the Tabuk Central School; Vedal Velasco, a Grade 11 student from Malalao and Vincent Gomgom-o from Agbannawag who are enrolled at the Agbannawag National High School.

Abdul is the second of seven siblings whose father has disability. He was chanced upon by members of the 1503rdMobile Company while conducting their regular patrol selling banana cue.

Learning of his hardship in getting his educational needs like gadget for his online classes, the police unit gave him a cellphone as well as grocery items for his family.

The company has been doing humanitarian projects including assisting teachers of the Eastern Tabuk District of the Department of Education in distributing modules to learners in their homes.

Police Captain John Paul Colangan, 1503rdMC, RMFB 15 Commander, said “we will continue this noble project as long as we are capable of helping those who have less in life regardless of their ethnic origin or what tribe one belongs”.

He expressed gratitude to the different donors who prefer to remain in cognito for sharing their countless blessings and to the men and women of the unit for their personal donations for the sustenance of their project to help learners with their education. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
