IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY, 21 SEPT - The provincial government of Zamboanga Sibugay awarded the officers in uniform who were instrumental in the success of the joint-operation of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) against the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in Purok Limono, Brgy. President Roxas in the municipality of RT Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay in the early morning of September 9, 2020.

The awarding ceremony was conducred 7:30 this morning, during the weekly flag ceremony of the Provincial Local Government of Zamboanga Sibugay at the Capitol Podium, Ipil Heights, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

According to an earlier information, the governor, Atty. Wilter Yap Palma and the people of Zamboanga Sibugay are grateful for the bravery of the troops who secured peace in RT Lim, that they wanted to confer well-deserved commendations to the above-mentioned officer.

Also presented during the ceremony were the firearms recovered by the government troops after the joint operation.

The awarding ceremony was witnessed by the officials and employees of the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed that the wounded soldiers and officers were not yet included in the list of the awardees today, as they are still confined in Zamboanga City, however, they will be given due recognition as soon as they are discharged from the hospital.

Templonuevo, Commanding Officer of the 44th Infantry Battalion, PCOL Ronald Joseph V Ocaya, Provincial Director of the ZSBPPO, PLT Khynnmer Absari, Station Chief of the Zamboanga Sibugay Maritime Police Station, COMMO Gregorio I Adel, Jr, District Commander of the CDOSWM, LTSG ROMMEL B DUA, Station Commander, of CGS Zamboanga Sibugay and CAPT Arsan L.
