Placer, Surigao del Norte – Task Force Python (TFP) has welcomed its new commander during the turnover ceremony held March 12,2020 at Headquarters Task Force Python, Barangay Taganito, Claver, Surigao del Norte.
Lt. Col Ryan Charles Callanta assumed as the 11th commander of the Task Force Python after Lt. Col. Jeffrey A Villarosa relinquished his post to the incoming commander.
Villarosa has been in the TFP since he assumed the command last year, July 12, 2019 as commanding officer of the 30th Infantry Python Battalion (30IB) and has been instrumental in securing its area of operation in collaboration with the mining companies and civil authorities to establish manageable security and investment condition in the municipality of Claver, Surigao, del Norte.
“It’s an honor to be part of the TFP for almost a year as your commander, it was indeed challenging yet most fulfilling and rewarding assignment as TFP commander at the same time the commanding officer of the 30IB, rest assured that we will not stop supporting the TFP against any threat and atrocities from the enemy of the state,” said Villarosa in his message during the turnover ceremony.
He has led the TFP in accomplishing numerous conducts of internal security operations (ISO), tree planting activities, bloodletting and assistance in delivery of basic services in barangays of the Claver.
The TFP also conducted search and rescue retrieval operations assistance during the landslide in the municipality, and assistance during music festivals, as well as holding security awareness seminars in the municipality.
The turnover ceremony was presided by Brigadier General Maurito L. Licudine, Commander of the 402nd Infantry Brigade, 4th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army (PA).
Villarosa still assigned as commander of the 30IB, covering the whole provinces of Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Island.
