MALAPATAN, Sarangani Province – Another member of the Communist Terrorist Group voluntarily surrendered to the troops of 73rd Infantry Battalion on Wednesday, March 27, 2020, bringing along with him one (1) high-powered firearms.

Lt. Col. Ronaldo G. Valdez, Commander of 73IB, identified the surrenderee as Ronnie P. Pilay @ Tamsi, a member of Weakened Guerilla Front 71, FSMR and a resident of Sitio Laral, Brgy Datal Bukay, Glan, Sarangani Province.

Accordingly, @Tamsi was convinced to surrender after he attended a series of pulong-pulong conducted by CMO platoon of 73IB together with FRs who gave testimonies regarding the deception of the communist terrorist and the projects being implemented by the government for the FR and communities.

“Despite the deployment of troops in implementing the Enhanced Community Quarantine imposed in Sarangani, the 73IB is still committed to accomplishing its main mission to secure the people and protect rebels who are willing to return to the folds of the law .” Lt. Col. Ronaldo G. Valdez, said.
