Posted to Kalinaw News (Mar 11, 2020): AFP trust rating rise by 74% based on 2019 SWS survey (By 11th Infantry Division)

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received an all-time high net trust rating of +74 or excellent in the 2019 nationwide survey conducted by the Social Weather Station (SWS).

The latest figure in 2019 was the highest (excellent) net satisfaction rating of the AFP since 1993. For 26 years, the net satisfaction rating from the organization ranged from a neutral +9 in November 2003.

The mandate given by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to implement Executive Order No.70 aims to institutionalize the Whole-of-Nation approach making the AFP as core support backbone of the local government unit’s peace effort to end the local armed conflict as well as protecting the sovereignty of the state. Therefore, it made further positive outcomes in the development process of building the country to its utmost progress.

Meanwhile, Major General Corleto S. Vinluan Jr., Commander of Joint Task Force Sulu and 11th Infantry Division see, it as a way of how our fellow countrymen show their support. “We extend our sincere gratitude for the trust and support. With this we, your soldiers are more inspired and motivated to work harder in performing our mandates”, he said.

The AFP will continue to serve and protect the Filipinos with great pride, honor and utmost dedication. The increased trust rating was a mirror of our countless sacrifices and sincerity towards the rightful path. This will serve as an inspiration to push forward and achieve greater heights.
