Placer, Surigao del Norte – The 30th Infantry Battalion (30IB) together with the 2nd Surigao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), 1302nd Mobile Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB)13, 1st Special Action Force Battalion and Gigaquit Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested Joselyn Fortuna Curiba during the conduct of joint AFP-PNP checkpoint operation at Barangay Sico-Sico, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte, 4:30 p.m., yesterday.
Curiba, also known by her NPA codename as “Panie, Lanie, Miles”, is the Finance Officer of Guerilla Front (GF)16B and wife of Pablo Logatiman alyas “Lukas”, one of the top leaders of the CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) in Surigao del Norte.
In a statement , Lt. Col. Jeffrey A Villarosa, Commanding Officer of 30IB said,”We, however, call on the same misguided CNTs to surrender and give-up their arms before it is too late for them. Our government will give you another chance to live normal and peaceful lives. Our ECLIP or Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program will make sure that you will be able to get back to live peacefully with your families, all you need to immediately do is to surrender and go back to the folds of our laws.
