Military and police authorities here said there is no individuals or groups supportive to Iran in the city.
Capt. Jerry Lamosao, the chief of the 10th Infantry Division Public Affairs Office (DPAO), said they have not monitored any force of Iran sympathizers in the region.
Major Eudisan Gultiano, the new spokesperson of the Police Regional Office, echoed Lamosao’s statement that no Iranian sympathizers are in the region.
“What we are doing now is the continued conduct of anti-terrorism campaign,” Lamosao said in yesterday’s AFP-PNP press briefing.
He said the Task Force Davao and the Joint Task Force General Santos are implementing stricter checkpoints in the entry in the city and the region.
“We would like also to remind the public on the culture of security and report those suspicious groups or individuals and unattended things in places of convergence,” he further said.
The military current concern, Lamosao said, is to provide support to the Department of Foreign Affairs in the evacuation of the affected Filipino Overseas Workers.
