WestMinCom Commander Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana visited the troops of Joint Task Force ZamPeLan in Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur, yesterday (September 18).
The living hero was welcomed with a battalion-sized military honors tendered by the officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resource of Joint Task Force ZamPeLan.
Lt. Gen. Sobejana officiated the pinning of awards to deserving personnel of JTF ZamPeLan and commended the troops for their very impressive and excellent accomplishments. He desires to strike a good balance between mission accomplishment and the troops’ morale for he believes that “ang taong masaya, maraming nagagawa”.
In his message, the WestMinCom Commander indicated that the challenge now is how to sustain and maintain the peace and order in the Zamboanga Peninsula and Lanao provinces.
JTF ZamPeLan Commander, Major General Roberto Ancan, presented a report of the unit’s accomplishments and current campaigns in addressing the security concerns in its area of operation.
Lt. Gen. Sobejana ended by encouraging the troops to favorably fulfil their duties and responsibilities. “Life is like riding a bicycle. To maintain the balance, we have to keep on moving”.
