The government troops have seized a food cache of alleged communist New People’s Army (NPA) following operations in Lanao del Sur.
Lt. Col. Rafman Altre, 82nd Infantry Battalion Commander, said the soldiers discovered eight containers of rice in Tagoloan II Wednesday, September 4.
Soldiers found said cache after being tipped off by civilians in the area, he said.
“Our focused military operation in Lanao del Sur is relentless, and we will not allow these rebels to sow terror in the community,” said Brig. Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., commander of 103rd Infantry Brigade.
In April 2019, the 82IB troops found 21 black containers of rice in Barangay Sigayan, Tagoloan II.
