Five drug suspects have surrendered to the military in Lanao del Sur.
Ambayan Macapanton, 55; Binnor Macapanton, 22; Jamail Pangandaman, aliascJimmy, 52; Salma Palawan-Pangandaman, 32; and Haron Macabangkit, 34, yielded to the troops of the Alpha Company of the 49th Infantry Battalion in Masiu, Lanao del Sur Thursday, September 5, said Brig. Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., commander of the 103rd Brigade.
They also turned over one improvised rifle grenade launcher, one caliber 45 Colt 1911 pistol, one caliber 45 Colt MKIV pistol, one caliber 38 revolver, five caliber 45 ammunitions, and one steel magazine for caliber 45 pistol.
The successful surrender of said drug suspects was facilitated by the joint efforts of the military, police, and local government unit of Masiu led by Mayor Nasser Pangandaman.
“This recent success is attributed to our partners who actively participate in the whole-of-nation campaign of the government,” Brawner said.
