CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao- Marine Battalion Landing Team-7 were sent-off to be deployed in Sulu.

The ceremony was held early morning of June 16, 2019 at Polloc Port in Bargy Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao presided by Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana, Commander Joint Task Force Central being represented by Brigadier General Juvymax R. Uy, Assistant Commander, JTF Central with Major General Alvin A. Parreño, Commandant Philippine Marine Corps.

Higher Headquarters has directed to mass its forces to destroy the ASG terrorist group operating in Sulu Province, where the MBLT-7 will be release under the operational control of JTF Central to JTF Sulu to boost the AFP’s will to fight.

MBLT-7 formerly safeguarded the municipalities of Nuro and South Upi and the coastal municipality of Datu Blah Sinsuat all of Maguindanao who has been great in securing peace and order in the area.

“In everything you do, please include prayers. It is the most effective weapon we can have in the start of operation, wherever we are and whatever we do, and always remember that the highest honor we can have is to fight along the side with our fellow warriors,” said Major General Parreño during his speech.

“We would like to thank the Joint Task Force Central for accommodating us for we have seen high brotherhood and solidarity in the Armed Forces,” Major General Parreño added.

“Your excellent performance and commitment to service already brought significant development in peace and order in your AOR contributing to the socio-economic development of the area. Thus, you are now needed in other parts of the region.” Major General Sobejana said to the troops of MBLT-7.

“I hope that you succeed on replicating your accomplishments, and soon bring just and lasting peace in Jolo.”

Thank you for your service in Central Mindanao, and good luck on your next duty,” the Commander added.
