BACOLOD City – The Philippine Army will not take a breather from launching offensive operations against the communist New People’s Army (NPA) during Holy Week which begins on Palm Sunday, April 14, 2019.
Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo, 303rd Infantry Brigade (303IB) commander, said all of their units will continue combat operations against the rebels.
Arevalo said they are now preparing their security plans for the Holy Week and the 2019 midterm elections next month.
He also requested the public to remain vigilant for any suspicious individuals in their area.
Arevalo added that police can also request for their assistance in securing transport terminals and they also have available K-9 units.
