NSFA, Panacan, Davao City - The Eastern Mindanao Command undergo a third-party assessment after the Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC) convened the first meeting and assessment for Calendar Year 2019 at Headquarters Eastmincom, Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City on April 10, 2019.

The meeting was called upon as part of the continuous involvement of the different sectors in the organizational transformation of the Command to contribute to the theme "AFP You Can Trust" and the overall transformation of the Armed Forces of the Philippines into a world-class organization.



The meeting dwelled on the review and assessment of the Command's milestone for 2018 and 1st quarter 2019 on its primary function and mission of peace and security in Eastern Mindanao.

It likewise scrutinized its effort to strengthen and raise the organizational capability and capacity in pursuing its mission and function.



Furthermore, lengthily discussed was the role of the military particularly in the "whole of nation approach" which was adopted by the government as a major strategy in ending the conflict in the country.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Felimon T. Santos Jr., the Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command expressed his appreciation to the continuous involvement of the group and their contribution to the Command's transformation.

The MSGC is Chaired by Mr. Sebastian Angliongto of Davao City Chamber of Commerce, divided into four sub-committees namely: Strategy Assessment and Review; Resource Planning and Generation; Communications and Advocacy; Governance and Policy.
