In a brief conference, Nolcom presented its campaign efforts and gains in advancing peace and development and confronting the local communist threats in Regions 1,2, 3 and Cordillera.
“I commend Nolcom for its significant accomplishment and contribution in promoting significant peace and development initiatives and sustaining a stable security environment in Northern Luzon,” Madrigal said.
He also stressed the importance of the 'whole of nation approach' in ending the local communist insurgency and addressing the various concern of people in all insurgency-affected areas in Central and Northern Luzon.
Madrigal also led the awarding ceremony to honor and appreciate the service of several soldiers who have astoundingly and meritoriously performed their duties.
“Let us do our duty, we share the burden of accomplishing our mission, and that every time, we must think of ways on how we can contribute in carrying out our mission. Let us help each other,” he emphasized.
For his part, Nolcom Commander Lieutenant General Emmanuel Salamat expressed his gratitude to Madrigal and vowed that the whole command will continue to strive in attaining its mission and relentlessly execute its purpose of advancing peace and development; upholding people’s rights; combatting all threats to peace, development and security; and protecting the sovereign territory.
