The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) lauded the confirmation of the ad interim appointments of 74 generals and senior officers, saying it is essential in helping the military fulfill its mandate.
"Promotions of Generals and Senior Officers in the Armed Forces signify not only the advancement of military officers in the career as soldiers, it also imply the bigger and more crucial responsibilities that they have to carry in support of the AFP’s mission of protecting the people and the state," AFP public affairs office chief, Col. Noel Detoyato, said in a statement.
On Wednesday, the Commission on Appointments (CA) confirmed the ad interim appointments of Major Generals Allen Paredes, Nathaniel Casem, Alejandro Baclayon, and Pelagio Valenzuela at the Senate in Pasay City.
