MALAYBALAY, Bukidnon – Five New People’s Army (NPA) surrenderee in Abra Province receive cash assistance in a Turn-over Ceremony at Headquarters, 403rd Infantry Brigade, Malaybalay City, Bukidno on July 28, 2018.



Present in the Ceremony were Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member, Committee Chair for Peace and Order, Gino Armstrong Garcia; Glenda Hope Beley, Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Focal Person of DILG-Bukidnon; Leo Villahermosa, E-CLIP Focal Person of Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Bukidnon; Portia Roldan, Human Resource Officer of Department of Social Welfare and Development Office – Region X; Police Senior Superintendent Benedicto Pintor, Bukidnon PNP Provincial Director; Brigadier General Eric VInoya, Commander of 403rd Infantry Brigade and Lieutenant Colonel Randy Remonte, Commanding Officer of 88th Infantry “ ” Battalion.

Further, the surrenderees received ₱10,000.00 each as cash assistance from the Provincial Government of Bukidnon.

“The 5 NPA that surrendered in Abra, who are residents of Bukidnon were formally turned-over to the ECLIP Committee of Bukidnon. Each surrenderee received a cash assistance from the LGU under Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri Jr. that is over and above the assistance that is being process under E-CLIP. On the other hand, when we found-out that there were NPA surrenderees in Abra that are from Bukidnon, we immediately took effort to find their families and coordinated for their safe trip back here in Bukidnon.” Vinoya stated.

The Five NPA surrenderees were identified as Alias Marco that is 18yrs old and from Brgy Cabanglasan, Malaybalay; Alias Jomar who is 17 yrs old and from Brgy Namnam, San Fernando; and Alias Gerald who is 17 yrs old, Alias Macoy, 18 yrs old and Alias Deboni, 19yrs old are all from Brgy Cawayan, San Fernando, Bukidnon.





They surrendered to 24th Infantry “Wildcat” Battalion under the Army’s 7th Infantry Division based in Brgy Tagodtod, Lagangilang, Abra Province last July 5, 2018.

“It was previously reported to us earlier this year that some NPA terrorists were being transferred to other areas in order to reinforce their dwindling forces. NPA terrorists continue to deceive fellow Filipino just to recruit people and join their failed armed struggle. 4th Infantry Division with the whole Philippine Army is willing to help NPA terrorists who want to go back to the folds of the law and live a normal life with their families. We will assist you in your enrolment to E-CLIP and your reintegration to the society.” Major General Ronald Villanueva, Commander of Army’s 4th Infantry Division said. 4DPAO / MCAG
