LUCENA CITY (DWDD) – One NPA member in Labo, Camarines Norte surrenders to the government on May 28, Monday. Filed report reaching SOLCOM headquarters indicate that early morning on Monday, a certain Armando Dor Panol alias Ding, a regular CPP/NPA terrorist operating in Camarines Norte, surrendered to Captain Flores of the 9th Infantry Battalion in Sitio Tibanlan, Barangay Guisican, Labo, Camarines, Norte. Panol also surrendered 2-M16 rifles and subversive documents.



In another development, government troops captured Lestino Rosero in Guinobatan, Albay on May 29, Tuesday. Lieutenant Tawantawan, while leading the troops of Task Group Albay, 902nd Infantry Brigade in security operations in Barangay Boldo chanced upon Lestino Rosero, a CPP/NPA terrorist, who is in possession of a calber .38 revolver, 150 rounds of caliber 7.62mm and 5.56mm ammunition, 2-pieces of anti-personnel improvised explosive devices, and lower part of an M14 rifle.

The troops immediately filed appropriate charges against Rosero with the Guinobatan Municipal Police Station in Guinobatan, Albay. The NPAs extensively use improvised explosive devices in carrying out lawlessness despite prohibition of its use in the Geneva Convention and International Humanitarian Law. The CPP/NPA/NDF is a signatory of the Comprehensive Agreement on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CAHRILH) with the government. SOLCOM / MCAG
