NAVAL BASE HERACLEO ALANO, Sangley Point, Cavite (DWDD) – On May 29, 2018, the Naval Air Group (NAG) conducted an Activation and Blessing Ceremony to NV394 the 3rd out of five C-90 aircraft that were newly acquired from Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF). Wherein the Flag Officer In Command, Philippine Navy Vice Admiral Robert A Empedrad AFP served as guest of honor and the first lady of the Navy Mrs. Blessilda A Empedrad as its primary sponsor.

  

  

  



Subsequent to the Activation and Blessing ceremony is the graduation of Naval Flight Nurse Course Class-02. This is the second time that the Navy was able to produce flight nurses that will specifically cater the demands of Naval Air Operations in medical emergencies and other peculiarities of aviation.



Prior to the activities conducted, Vice Admiral Empedrad was awarded with Honorary Command Naval Aviator Badge. This badge known as Naval Wings, given to the deserving senior officers who have contributed to the development of the Naval Air Group. The ceremonies were held at Headquarters Naval Air Group, Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City. NPAO / MCAG
