CAMP MACARIO PERALTA, Jamindan, Capiz (DWDD) – The Army’s 3rd Infantry “Spearhead” Division under the leadership of Brigadier General Dinoh Dolina staged its pre-anniversary activities highlighting the Division’s founding year.

 

Numerous activities were held to mark the Division’s 44th Founding Anniversary. To enhance the camaraderie and skills of our personnel and to develop their competitive spirit, the Division Sports Fest was conducted on March 20-April 16, followed by the Infantry/DRO Squad Challenge on May 01-05 of this year.

Also achieved was a successful Blood Letting Activity held at Camp Peralta on April 30, 2016. To support and promote environmental protection, Nature Trekking and Tree Planting activity were held on May 04. Most Reverend Jose Advincula, D.D, Archbishop of Capiz also joined in the aforementioned activities.

In line with the Division’s objective of becoming the cleanest and greenest camp, the Clean and Green Contest was also held wherein, General and Special Staffs, together with posts and tenant units actively participated. A Night of Music with the 3ID Combo was held on May 05 and series of successful Kinetic and Static Display on May 06 at Plazuela de Iloilo and Gaisano, Silay City and on May 07 at Gaisano, Roxas City.

  

Other activities like Military Artifacts and Photo Contests in connection with the said celebration was also conducted.

Brigadier General Dinoh Dolina, Commander, 3ID, PA, said that the 3ID adopts this year’s theme: “Apat na pu’t apat na Taong Tapat na Paglilingkod at Bayanihan para sa Kapayapaan Tungo sa Maunlad na Gitna at Kanlurang Bisayas.”

“Your Army in Central and Western Visayas has been serving the nation with great distinction of professionalism and excellence. Your Spearhead troopers will continue safeguarding the land and will remain prepared to meet the challenges to our internal security, with the ultimate purpose of protecting the property and lives of our people towards a peaceful and progressive Central and Western Visayas”, Dolina added. ”

Our concerted efforts to attain peace and prosperity will not end on this decade, rest assured that your Spearhead Troopers are here to protect you at all times”, Dolina further said.

The 3ID held its 44th founding anniversary celebration May 10, 2018, graced by Lt Gen. Rolando Joselito Bautista, Commanding General, Philippine Army and Honorable Antonio del Rosario, Governor of the province of Capiz. 3DPAO / MCAG
