DWDD: AFPSAT | 7ID Beef up its forces

FORT RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija (DWDD) – The 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division is currently selecting candidates to beef up its forces thru the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) that started last February 6, 2018.

   

The new recruits will be trained to fight CPP-NPA terrorists (CNTs) and endure and respond to all kinds of conditions and situations that will call on their courage and survival skills.

The Army Recruitment Mobile Team of the Army Recruitment Office, Philippine Army has come to Luzon to conduct the AFPSAT, a qualifying exam for those who would like to apply as soldiers, be it as officers or enlisted personnel. Registration started yesterday at the 7ID Covered Court, when the requirements where checked for validation.

  

Exams are scheduled as follows: February 06-07, 2018 at Officers’ Club House, 7ID, PA, Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija; and February 8, 2018 at the Headquarters, 702nd Infantry Brigade, Camp Tito B Abat, Manaog, Pangasinan. The second day of exams (February 7) was supposed to be conducted at the 703rd Brigade in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija, but it was moved to the 7ID since only a few exam takers registered at the said location.

Applicants who will pass the AFPSAT will be qualified to apply as a Candidate Soldiers if they pass the other mandatory exams necessary, such as Physical Fitness Tests and Neurological Exams, before undergoing the Officer Preparatory Course (OPC), the Officer Candidate Course (OCC), and the Candidate Soldier Course CSC).

According to Major General Felimon T. Santos Jr., Commander of 7ID, the Division needs more brave and patriotic soldiers who are prepared to go the extra mile to keep the peace and secure the land, for with courage men fight, but it is the passion to serve and love of country that we are driven to win a war. 7DPAO / MCAG
