JANIUAY, Iloilo (DWDD) – A platoon from the 33rd Division Reconnaissance Company, led by Ssg Ali, encountered more or less twenty (20) members of the New People’s Army (NPA) yesterday, September 7:15 in the morning, at Zone 6, Brgy Canawilihan, Janiuay, Iloilo.
According to reports, the soldiers were conducting combat operations when they encountered the bandits believed to be members of the SPP Baloy, Committee Front, KR-P under a Ka Andoy.
The enemy scampered towards the South East portion after 30-mins of fighting, resulting in an undetermined number of wounded and fatalities on the NPA side, while government forces did not incur any casualty. AES / ALS
