COLONEL JESUS VILLAMOR AIR BASE, Pasay City (DWDD) – The celebration of the 49th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Air Force, 250th Presidential Airlift Wing (Bluebirds) happened last September 12, 2017 at the Fixed Wing Hangar 250th PAW, Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

The event kicked-off with a blessing ceremony of the newly renovated VIP Holding Lounge led by Chief Air Chaplain Col Roque Kim B Pedroza PAF CHS (GSC) followed by the launching of the Helicopter Night Vision Goggle Instrument Flight Rule Capability.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the Wing’s achievements, units and individuals were awarded with plaques of merit and streamers for their tremendous performance and undying dedication to the service all throughout the year.

The awardees were:

Officer of the Year (Rated Category) – Maj Maria Ghirly A Solis PAF
Officer of the Year (Non-Rated Category)- 1Lt Jose Dean L Sebastian PAF
Non-Commission Officer of the Year- Ssg Donel O Pedro PAF
Airman of the Year- Sgt Karlo P Lina PAF
Civilian Employee of the Year- Mr. kirshore S Patrimonio CE
Squadron of the Year (Flying Category)- 252nd Presidential Airlift Wing
Squadron of the Year (Support Category)- 482nd Supply and Suppot Squadron

The event was graced by Guest of Honor, Commanding General Philippine Air Force, Lieutenant General, Edgar R Fallorina AFP together with his wife, Mrs Erica T Fallorina, as special guest.
