Calling all youth aged 18-23 years old in Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi!

PeaceTech, a non-government, non-profit organization will be conducting a free Empowerment for Peace through Information and Communication seminar from September 24-30 in Zamboanga City, said Jules Benitez, project coordinator.

The seminar is open to either in-school or out of school youth coming from the mentioned areas, and this workshop will connect simultaneously with Baguio City, Cagayan de Oro City, Cebu City, Cotabato City, Metro Manila and Zamboanga City.

The workshop objective is to connect youths coming from the different areas especially in Mindanao using video conferencing and social media and discuss about peace building. “We aim to bring the youth into the peace process so that they will feel included,” Benitez said.

Modules on conflict management and resolution, history and culture, management skills and project implementation have been knit into the weeklong seminar.

Application forms can be secured thru Mr. Jules Benitez’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/jules.benitez). The deadline for submission of the forms is on or before September 1, 2017.

This project is done in partnership with the United States Embassy and Globe.
