From GMA News (Jul 19): Duterte, Nur Misuari meet with GPH, MNLF panels in Malacañang

President Rodrigo Duterte and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founding chairman Nur Misuari met with the members of peace implementing panels in Malacañang on Thursday.

The peace panels, from the government and the secessionist group, are tasked to implement earlier agreements namely, the 1996 Final Peace Agreement and the 1976 Tripoli Agreement.

Pres. Duterte had a meeting with GPH, MNLF implementing panels and MNLF leaders including founding chair Nur Misuari in Malacañang :
The MNLF implementing panel is chaired by lawyer Randolph Parcasio and its members are lawyers Ombra Jainal and Yasser Lumbos as well as Dr. Alipikre Basher and the Bangsamoro Humanitarian Inc.
 
Meanwhile, the government implementing panel is headed by Nabil Tan. He is joined by Diosita Andot, Ma. Cecilia Papa, Gerry Salapuddin, Habib Hashim, and lawyer Jose Lorena.

Other MNLF leaders, Vice Chairman Abdulkarim Misuari and Secretary General Murshi Ibrahim, also joined the meeting.
 
Presidential Peace Adviser Sec. Jesus Dureza also joined the meeting, Malacañang photos showed.

In a text message to GMA News Online, Dureza said Misuari expressed support for Duterte’s plan to shift to a federalism type of government.

“Iyong federalism track is now road map for MNLF,” he said.

Dureza also mentioned that it was the first time that both panels met with Duterte and Misuari together, although the panels have met many times before.
