From the Philippine News Agency (Jun 29): DND-GA looking for P468-M worth of 5.56 mm finished components
To ensure that military engaged in combat have more than sufficient ammunition, the Department of National Defense-Government Arsenal (DND-GA) is acquiring PHP468,150,000 worth of 5.56mm finished components.
The money will be sourced from the GA Trust Fund. These bullets are used to arm the M-4s and M-16 automatic rifles in the Armed Forces of the Philippines inventory.
Winning bidders are required to deliver the items within 180 to 270 calendar days, a bid bulletin posted at the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System.
Bid opening is scheduled on July 4, 10 a.m. at the DND Bids and Awards Committee, Basement, Right Wing, DND Building, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
