From GMA News (Mar 28): NPA attacks reported in Cagayan, Quirino

Alleged members of the New People's Army (NPA) burned heavy equipment worth about P10 million in Alcala, Cagayan, according to a report aired on "Saksi."
The incident occured a few days before the resumption of the fourth round of peace talks between the government and the Communist Party of the Philippines - National Democratic Front next month.
In Maddela, Quirino province NPAs were also tagged to be behind the burning of construction equipment.
Meanwhile, NPA gunmen shot and killed a soldier and a CAFGU active auxiliary member in Laak, Compostela Valley last March 25.
Also, the Philippine Army's 3rd Infantry Battalion fought a series of gunbattles with the NPA's Pulang Bagani Company 2 in Davao City's Marilog District from March 25 to 26, during which an NPA fighter was killed.
