Security forces deployed to protect West Philippine Sea

From Update.Ph (Feb 6): Security forces deployed to protect West Philippine Sea

Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Command (WESCOM) has conducted a send-off ceremony for security personnel assigned to Kalayaan Group of Islands in West Philippine Sea.

The deployed troops will replace previously deployed personnel to secure the country’s maritime territory in West Philippine Sea.

Every deployment lasts for three to four months. They are stationed at Philippine-occupied features in West Philippine Sea.

“Protectors of our Land, Servants called to battle when our country takes a stand. We pray for strength and courage and a heart that will forgive, For peace and understanding in a world for all to live. Our prayers are with them, no matter where they roam,” WESCOM said in its social networking page, a version of the sailor’s prayer.

“May the Lord bless them and guide them all throughout their duty,” it added.
