A total of 204 or 52.31% of the 390 police examinees passed the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) Written Examination conducted on August 21, 2016 in Quezon City, Cebu City and Davao City.

Interior and Local Government Secretary and NAPOLCOM Chairman Ismael D. Sueno said that the 204 passers are qualified to undergo the Validation Interview on November 12, 13 and 19, 2016, the second and final phase of the PES eligibility process.

NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Rogelio T. Casuaro said that the 52.31% passing rate is the second highest since the PESE examinations started in 2006.

Vice-Chairman Casurao also added that the senior police officials who successfully passed the written phase consists of 70 Police Chief Inspectors and 134 Police Superintendents.

“The PESE is an eligibility requirement for the ranks of Police Senior Superintendent, Police Chief Superintendent, Police Director, Police Deputy Director General and Police Director General,” Casurao said.

The PESE test contains analytical questions on police leadership and police values designed to select the best future leaders in the police service.
