Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief-of-staff Gen.
Ricardo Visaya said efforts to eradicate illegal drug users and distributors in
the military will be intensified.
He made this pledge during his visit to Philippine Army
headquarters in Fort Bonifacio , Taguig
City Thursday.
Visaya said stiff sanctions await military personnel caught
involved in illegal drugs, either as a user or distributor.
"Don't use illegal drugs," he earlier warned
troops.
Visaya stressed that the AFP will very be strict on this matter.
Eradication of the illegal drugs threat is one of the
cornerstone of President Rodrigo Duterte's administration.
